It is a good read. I find it unfortunate that the distributor still packages OpenLDAP 2.2.13…

Well, we generally groan when someone mentions using OpenLDAP on Red Hat. They’re traditionally a LONG way behind. It’s not a new behavior, so we can’t blame the Fedora thing, though.

Also unfortunately, that post demonstrates OpenLDAP 2.2 but points at the OpenLDAP 2.3 Admin Guide for further information. He obviously ought to be referencing the 2.2 Admin Guide to match his software, or (even better) he should have used OpenLDAP 2.3 throughout his article.
