Things get lost on the blog, so we put the Authentication Rate benchmark data onto the Symas Web site. Same results: CDS (OpenLDAP) is fast and can handle big Directories nicely on today's servers. Late breaking news: Linux was faster on the SunFire X4100 than Solaris which was a little of a surprise.

A nice list of levels of effort. Are you finished with level one yet? I personally think that level four should be moved down two levels and the corrent level six is the real cretical minimum Sarbanes-Oxley level.
